It can be expected to match very closely to federally-published tide heights and tidal current tables. It uses the "Harmonic Prediction of Tides" methodology in long use for tide elevation predictions.Designed for On The Spot UseThe tidal status presentation gives an immediate snapshot of the tide situation, more useful than just a standard list of highs and lows. The display can be refreshed at any time to update this status. This app is designed for use while actively out and about along the waterfront. It uses large text and the black on white text choice is easily read on the bright sun.200 Year CalendarIn addition to todays tides, a date picker is available to choose any date from 1901 to 2100. The app does not have to be refreshed on the new year.Tide Regions and Stations (note: "Tides" or "Currents for each grouping)Region Bar to Bridge TidesNorth JettyJetty A IlwacoChinookHammondWarrentonAstoria Port DocksAstoria Youngs BayCathcart LandingRegion Bar to Bridge CurrentsBaker Bay entrance, E of Sand Island TowerSand Island Tower, 0.9nm SE of (north channel)Sand Island Tower, 1nm SE of (midchannel) Clatsop Spit, NNE ofSand Island, SSE ofChinook Point, WSW ofPoint Adams, NNE OFMcGowan, SSW ofHammond, northeast of ship channelYoungs Bay BridgeRegion Bridge to Wauna TidesHungry HarborAstoria Tongue PointSettlers PointHarrington PointKnappaSkamokawaWaunaRegion Bridge to Longview CurrentsPoint Ellice, east ofTongue Point, northwest of Woody Island ChannelWoody Island Channel (off Seal Island)Quinn Island, Prairie ChannelClifton ChannelHunting Island, south ofCathlamet Channel, SE of Nassa PointWalker Island, south ofRegion Longview Upriver TidesLongviewKalamaSaint HelensRocky PointVancouverPortlandWashougalBeacon RockRegion Willipa BayNahcottaParadise PointBay CenterSouth Bend South Bend, Willipa River CurrentRaymond Toke PointRegion Grays Harbor TidesWestport Ocean Shores Point BrownBay CityMarkham AberdeenCosmopolis, Chehalis RiverMontesano, Chehalis RiverRegion Grays Harbor CurrentsGrays Harbor EntranceEntrance, 0.2 mile south of north jettyEntrance, Point Chehalis RangeEntrance, 1.1 miles NW of WestportEntrance, 0.6 mile WNW of WestportWestport, channel 0.4 mile NE ofChannel, 1.5 miles north of WestportChannel, 2.1 miles NNE of WestportMajor Update-Added Current Stations, added Grays Harbor, updated Tide Now Internals, checked with Android 10.
